Located on an 8 acre site just outside Douglas, Heron and Brearley Limited (H&B) is a locally owned Isle of Man company, which was established in 1898.

Drinks Wholesaling
H&B is the Island’s leading drinks wholesaler with a customer base of over 250 accounts, ranging from pubs to hotels to grocery stores and four tenancies owned by H&B.
The division stocks over 1500 product lines in a portfolio that features all the leading brands for every occasion. Competitively priced soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits and much more are all delivered promptly and supported by trade specialists and promotional activity.
Convenience Store Retailing
CI News is an Island wide retailer offering a wide mix of products in its various types of stores, ranging from the Spar branded convenience chain to newsagents and to in store Post Offices.
Our 14 stores meet the needs of the local community and offer longer opening times than many other Island retailers and supply all household needs at affordable prices.
Draught and Bottled Beer Production
Okells commenced brewing back in 1850 and continues to produce fine, award winning ales today.
Combining traditional brewery techniques with modern technology, our pure brewed and innovative brands continue to be a favourite among many pub-goers searching for a consistent quality pint and at the same time offering the opportunity to sample many seasonal and special ales available in cask or bottle.
Demand for our beers extends outside the Isle of Man with many customers being located throughout Europe. Those customers closer to home can enjoy a pint in the brewery by joining one of the weekly tours for the public to discover the science behind the brewing process and tasting the product in the hospitality bar.

Managed Pub retailing in the UK
As part of the benchmarking of customer service standards, business trends and staff and marketing development the UK pub division, Okells (Isle of Man) was developed to complement our Isle of Man offering and now comprises an estate of five pubs.
Three of these award winning units are based in Liverpool City centre, and the others are found in Chester and Aberystwyth.
Logistics and Warehousing
Trade Distribution was established in 2000 and is now one of the Island’s leading logistic companies.
After acquiring local haulier, ICD, the division now has a fleet of around 200 vehicles and trailers from which we distribute products throughout the Island and the UK.
The division provides freight import and export services to over 200 customers, both on and off the Island, and operates warehouse and distribution contracts alongside haulage services to the construction and associated industries.
In addition to the impressive warehousing facilities at Kewaigue, Trade Distribution also has another depot on the Island with a third in Skelmersdale in the North West of England.
Incestment Properties
This activity manages the substantial property portfolio of the Group which not only provides premises for existing activities but offers commercial and domestic accommodation to outside parties.
Amusement and Vending Solutions
Island Automatics provides a complete entertainment package across the Isle of Man.
With over 20 years experience, our trained team can provide and maintain for the licensed trade, AWP machines, vending machines, video games, video jukeboxes, background music systems and pool tables and accessories.
Facilities Management
As with our other subsidiary companies, Trade Facilities Management was introduced to compliment the existing structure of the Group by providing services to both internal and external customers. Offering a professional and reliable service the company is split into three areas:-
- By-Degrees – Supplying air conditioning and refrigeration solutions. The division also includes technical services which provides an exhaustive range of dispense equipment services to the licensed trade.
- In-Focus - Offering total security protection, and specialising in the installation and maintenance of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and electronic security systems for both commercial and domestic applications.
- Trade Facilities - Adopted as district service provider, the facilities division works daily with leading national businesses providing comprehensive property management facilities and home improvement solutions.
