All the projects with which the Partnership is involved aim ultimately to improve the image and environment of Douglas. Projects can take a variety of forms including public art, business support schemes, retail crime initiatives, events and strategic public realm improvements.
Many of the Partnership's projects involve the co-ordination and collaboration of a number of project partners.
The most important project at present is the project to regenerate the town centre in the capital. The overall image of the town centre is to undergo a major regeneration programme in order to bring it up to the standard required to match the high quality image portrayed by other apsects of the Isle of Man.
The project, the implementation of which is likely to be phased over several years will involve repaving, and relighting of the town centre along with improvements to information provision and public facilities and the introduction of public art and architectural lighting.
Details of a other projects can be found on our website www.ddp.org.im
