Manx Telecom is a wholly owned subsidiary, part of O2 Telefónica Europe, the second largest telecommunications company in the world. We provide a wide range of telecommunications services, including mobile, fixed line, broadband, and data hosting to the Island's domestic, business and government communities. We also compete with leading Telecoms companies around the world, providing hosting and other services for clients, including online payment processors, e-Music platforms, e-Gaming companies, and online bookmakers. We are committed to providing the Island with first rate telecommunications and have invested significantly in installing a high capacity off-Island MPLS Network, which connects the Isle of Man directly to London's global telecommunications points of presence, and onwards around the world. Our newly built Data Centre at Douglas North provides the highest standards of data security, exemplary resilience, and expandable hosting capacity. We employ over 300 highly skilled people, have invested over £50million over the last five years in the development of our people and technology, and are currently developing a Next Generation Network (NGN) which will enable our on-Island customers to access and manipulate voice, data, television, and video on one seamless converged network - the first community in the world to be able to do so.

The Isle of Man is a great place. Although small in size, its achievements are enormous. A lot of foresight and hard work by many people has made us one of the premier international offshore locations. The Manx people have always faced outwards and traded with the world and, today, much of that trading relies on telecommunications. Manx Telecom is the Island's link to the world, and we are proud to have put in place some class-leading technology which ensures that the Island and its businesses can trade and prosper. In one sense, being a Brand Champion is about many of the things we do naturally - pioneering initiatives, promotion of the Isle of Man, and caring for the community.
