Our clients include private individuals, trusts, charities, corporations, small to medium-sized institutions and professional intermediaries around the world and they have entrusted us to manage and administer £11.5bn of assets. We employ over 500 people in the Untied Kingdom, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and internationally. We are part of Close Brothers Group plc, which was established in 1878 and is the largest independent British merchant bank listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Why we joined the Champions scheme
Close was delighted to become a Champion of the Isle of Man Freedom to Flourish campaign, as a way of assisting the island in developing a distinct identity against a backdrop of increasing globalisation. We have been based in the Island for over 20 years and have grown markedly during that period and now employ approx 60 staff locally. As part of a large UK blue chip organisation, we have clients based all around the world; however we are conscious that potentially, existing, prospective clients and our professional contacts, know little or nothing about the Isle of Man.
We hope that through Freedom to Flourish, we can play our part in highlighting some of the key features and benefits of the island such as quality of life, regulatory advantages and availability of a highly skilled and professional workforce.
