Achievements in the Isle of Man community
1. Hospice Care Isle of Man
A relay team from Close Wealth Management Group (“CWMG”) walked the 37.73-mile Isle of Man TT course to raise money for Hospice Care. The group of 18 walkers covered just over two miles each, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm. The project was organised by 4 staff in the Isle of Man office, who said: ‘”We all know someone who has had cancer so we wanted to benefit Rebecca House and the new hospice in the Isle of Man which is due to open on 5th November.”
The walkers raised £1,633 for Hospice, which was matched pound for pound by CWMG, making the total amount £3,226.
2. Douglas Choral Union’s production of Les Misérables
CWMG are to be the principal sponsors of Douglas Choral Union’s production of Boublil and Schönbergs’ Les Misérables. CWMG have formed a strong and close relationship over the past two years with Douglas Choral Union, sponsoring other well known productions they have staged including Annie and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
CWMG is delighted to associated with this production as Douglas Choral Union are the only amateur society to have been given the rights to the full production and are billing it as the ‘British Isles Amateur Premier’. Such a privilege is likely to attract not only the usual local media attention, but national interest as well.
