Age Concern Isle of Man has joined forces with the Department of Local Government and the Environment to help households reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions. The charity has appointed an Energy Doctor to offer practical advice on energy use to consumers in a move to help raise energy conservation awareness, reduce fuel bills and increase comfort levels in the home. 'Silver surfers' at Age Concern Isle of Man’s lifelong learning centres are set to benefit from a Freedom to Flourish initiative, thanks to the programme’s Isle of Man Champions funding the purchase of 10 laptops.
